Finding your way
I can’t remember very much of being 8 years old as I approach 40, but when I look at our children, I try to imagine what it must be like to be young again. No worries, no responsibilities and your whole life ahead of you. Everything achievable. No dream out of reach.
Our son is now a teenager. Yes he is the annoyingly stereotypical teen. Kevin and Perry spring to mind. Thankfully not all the time, he’s a great lad. Our daughter is by comparison, the complete opposite.
would you change a thing if you could roll back the years?
I wouldn’t change a thing. It all happened because of every choice I made, every mistake and every success. I’m grateful for everything that has happened in my life. Good and Bad. The good are the memories and bad are the lessons of life. I’ve created my life through those good and bad decisions. As parents we can only offer guidance based on our experiences. Our children will find their own way in life.
When I see our daughter sat wondering. I can’t help but wonder what it is she is thinking about. Whats she dreaming up?
“life is for living, not existing”
Even as adults, we are still finding our way. Still learning. Still growing. Don’t let age stop you, keep striving for more, to be more knowledgeable and live life.
