STOP!

If you are expecting a review where I go in to detail about its specs and performance…. You might not want to carry on, this isn’t that review.

If you want to know what it is like to use and some honest opinions… Stick around and read on

Fujifilm XF10

So back in June, I wrote a small blog post… An initial review of the Fujifilm XF10, at the time I had only had it for a few weeks and it won me over…. Well I’m happy to say that after 5 months, it is still a great little camera and I still love shooting with it.

The ergonomics are typical of a small compact point and shoot, rectangle with little thought to a grip… But with that said, its pretty comfortable to shoot with, and I' have massive hands… I haven’t had any real issues shooting with it. Summary, don’t worry about that.

What I don’t like

Autofocus… Well its just crap…. But like in my initial review of it, I never got it to use the AF… I got it because of the snap focus mode.. It locks it a F8 and 1.5m… For street photography this is bang on and it rocks!
The AF reminds me of the Fujifilm X-Pro1 when that first come out, it does the job, but really can’t compare to other brands. But like I said, the snap focus just works for me, and I love it.

On most Fujifilm X series camera’s, you can save multiple custom preset profiles for colour, B&W etc…. On the XF10, you can’t! If like me you shoot RAW, then its not an issue but its a feature enjoyed by a lot of people on other models because the Fuji Jpegs are pretty damn good!

What I do like

Well aside from the above mentioned things I don’t like… I love the rest of it! Simple!

I shoot with the snap focus set to 1.5m at f8 and most of the time shoot it in Aperture Priority, the meter reads the scene absolutely fine, so I can just concentrate on taking pictures, not worry about my exposure.

Just using it in general… Its so effortless to use, one you dial your settings in to suit you… Its as simple as composing and clicking the shutter… makes life that bit more enjoyable.

I told you it wouldn’t be a detailed review.

I’m more than happy with my purchase, and have started a hashtag on Instasgram #xf10mafia …. Yes I know there is the GRMafia hashtag, but this little pocket rocket needs some love too!

Its a fantastic little camera and alternate to the Ricoh GR series!

I’ll leave it there, and leave you with some images I have taken with the mighty Fujifilm… XF10!!!! (was that over the top?…)

Cheers!
